It's just hard to imagine 110 acres being affordable, but like you say Canada is a rather large country.

To my eternal shame I've (we've) not yet done Canada. Alongside NZ, it's at the top of my MUST list. In fact I was saying to 'im indoors just the other day that Canada and NZ were the two countries I'd be most likely to move to, if we were to leave the UK. I think I even have distant relatives in Yellowknife. Bit parky for me that far north I reckon, but see your laaand there Neko. I look at that and apart from thinking "drop dead gorgeous", my next thought is "mozzies". Fucking mozzies. Am I wrong?

no worries - i just don't want anyone to think this comes easy. the challenge is making it work, and living a dream life without simply throwing a ton of money around.

Got myself a cheap Chinese diesel heater off the net £85 , what a piece of kit , pumps out oodles of heat for pennies worth of diesel or kerosene . If you have a shed , garage or any other  place you like to escape to - get one .
