Outstanding film. The story of Mozart told through the recollections of another composer, Salieri, who envied the brilliance of Mozart yet hated the fact that such a talented musician could be such an insufferable cunt while he himself strove to be good (in a religiously pious sense) yet ended up merely being mediocre. The acting, particularly from F.Murray Abraham as Salieri, is fantastic.

Good choice with Manhunter, Dim. That's another of the ones I was holding out for! Criminally underrated film because all the hype and attention went to the next film featuring the character of Hannibal Lecter.

Actually, I had got into the habit of calling it the cinema, as so many people seem to nowadays, but I made it my New Year’s resolution to go back to calling it the pictures.

Yeah, I think it's better than Silence of the Lambs... Or certainly I like it better anyway. One thing I noticed is that there aren't many of my favourite comedies come from the 80s so I had to grab Fletch then

Very true I'm a posh twat. I go to the movie house and refuse to take in my own food and drink as I like to spend my posh money on twatty soda pop and snobby sweet popcorn.

The 80s was an unbelievable time for comedy. It's taking all my effort not to pick a list full of them!
