Love sharks. Went to the sea life centre in Blackpool a few weeks ago and they had a little baby oceanic black tip in one of the tanks. They had to take it out of the main shark tank and stick it in with the regular fish, as the sharks would have eaten it.

It was about 18 inches long, just swimming around this tank like a little badass, intimidating all the fish. I could have watched it all day, but my parking ticket only half an hour left so I had to leave.

Someone needs to put a stop to those Japanese cunts killing millions of them every year for shark fin soup just because they think it makes their needle dicks stay a little bit harder for a little bit longer.

I read recently that shark fin soup doesn't even taste of anything and they have to put chicken or pork in to give it flavour. They just chop the fins off and throw them back in the sea, still alive. Fucking pricks.

Shark fin soup is Chinese I think. In Australia, when you have fish and chips, the 95% of the time you’d get a fillet of flake, which is gummy shark. It’s nice enough, though I probably prefer cod.

I caught a reef shark in Broome a million years ago.

The resort restaurant was good enough to cook it up with French Fries that night for us.

Unbelievably delicious.

Its quite surprising that a number of White Sharks are still so far north as winter approaches. Watched a fair few programmes on the Atlantic Great Whites and they thought they travelled north to Massachusetts etc in the summer & went south to the Florida & the gulf in winter

That's not white sharks. That's loan sharks.

Lots of Chinese won't eat it now, it's not on many menus anymore, more worryingly is it is used in many chippies in the UK without people knowing, read it's something like 70 million a year killed

    • Simon Mignolet is attracting a deal of interest by Liverpool's Premier League rivals but it has emerged that the Reds are just as keen to retain the Belgian goalkeeper.

The Mirror reports that Crystal Palace and Brighton are interested in signing the 31 year-old Belgian for a transfer fee in the range of £8 million.

However a different report from ESPN says that valuation falls short of their own and in any case, the club is determined to keep the veteran who they view as a fantastic influence in the dressing room.

James Milner said as much in April "It's incredible how he is around the training ground, he has the best attitude I've ever seen in my life."

It is that sort of high praise which is echoed across the club with Jurgen Klopp, goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, the rest of the backroom team and the playing squad wanting Mignolet to extend his six-year stay with the club.

It is also believed that sporting director Michael Edwards has not actually put a fee on Mignolet as he does not foresee a sale taking place.

Mignolet who has another two years to run on his current deal ,was signed from Sunderland in 2013 and has made over 150 appearances in that period.    But he only added two cup appearances to that tally in 2018/9 after the summer signing of Alisson and the Brazilian did not give him a look in with his constant level of exceptional performances.

Liverpool have been linked Alex McCarthy for Southampton in recent weeks to fill the back-up role, but more and more, clubs are very keen on having a couple of senior players on their books to help the younger players coming through as well as the new signings.

In some ways being a number two is one of the toughest in football as you never know if, let alone when your number will be called.

But you cannot buy respect and it seems the Belgian has that in spades.

It remains to be seen what will transpire between now and the end of the transfer window, but it seems a near on certainty that Mig has a place at Liverpool for the foreseeable future if he wants it.

    • "Watched by one and a half billion people worldwide..."   Yeah, right. Who the fuck watches the Commonwealth Games? Why does it even exist anymore?
    • Centre backs are harder to profile statistically and this is based on limited minutes but it's obvious what Edwards and the laptop nerds see in him:     That would look pretty solid if you were talking about a 26-year old. From a 17-year old, it's ... *drools*
    • Hopefully Spurs are not really our business this upcoming season but still, I am definitely NOT a fan of seeing Spurs fix the biggest problem in their squad with the best available player to do it with. Ndombele is seriously good.   Plus it means Lyon will definitely hang on to Aouar until next season at the very least. He is going to cost us an arm and a leg when we eventually go to pry him away from them.
    • Looks like it. Hopefully helps those useless cunts take points off City.
