US Midterm Elections 2018

Senate popular vote:

Democrats: 40,558,262 (55.4% of the vote)

Republicans: 31,490,026 (43.0% of the vote)

Senate Seats: +3 Republicans

I know this is pretty reductive but if that kind of thing happened as consistently in the UK I think there would be even more disaffected people and non-voters than there currently is.

"While Democrats lost seats on Tuesday night, they actually won most of the races that were held — at least 22 of the 35 seats, and possibly a couple more. That’s 63 percent or more of the seats, despite winning just 55 percent of the vote. "

Sounds like swings and roundabouts.

I seen on the news this morning that the CNN reporter had his white house press pass confiscated. This is an absolute cunts trick by Trump.

I know there's a lot of rivalry about viewing figures etc in the US,  but this should serve a a shot across the bows to the rest of the news industry.  It's got to the point of 'do as I say or else'.

The media/news industry in the US could crush Trump if they got together and if this doesn't stir them in to action, nothing will.

Oh for the days of Woodward and Bernstein.
