Trent struggle? The whole fucking team struggled, the only honorable exceptions were Becker, van Dijk and Gomez.

In fact, the van Dijk-Gomez partnership has been one of the highlights of the season so far.

Trent was particularly bad, and he has been for weeks (im being charitable)

Yes, it has. I’ve said so myself on many occasions.

Trent was fucking awful, he was caught out of position constantly.

Really dont understand the strong faith some have in Clyne. Has hardly played any football for a year, wasn’t anything special before that and hasn’t been very impressive since he came back.

If TAA were going to be dropped or rested, the logical decision for me would be to put Clyne in and keep Gomez at CB. But Klopp’s choice may be as good or better. If anything I’d be worried about how Lovren will do at CB.

He should be fine, he’s one of the best CBs in the world, he said so himself

Strange game to move Gomez into a position where he looks like a championship player and bring back a woeful defender into the line up.

The attack is going to need to click big time.

Defence does not worry me...it is the midfield i am concermed about.

It has no creativity, no goal threat and looked very tired in midweek.

That midfield has performed time and time again against big sides, including City

I don’t recall Gomez having too many good games at right back and imo we’ve broke up the reason why our defence has looked so good.  A settled top class trio in the middle.

Fair point but i still think defence will be ok and that 3 in middle are more of a 'problem' but lets hope it all clicks
