Harrison Ford has got to be right up there.

1980 - Empire Strikes Back

1981 - Raiders Of The Lost Ark

1982 - Blade Runner

Sensational run of iconic movies. His next 3 films after them aren't bad either.

1983 - Return Of The Jedi

1984 - Temple Of Doom

1985 - Witness

I'll go for best 5 film run instead, which belongs to John Cazale. This is his entire movie career before he died of cancer at 42:

The Godfather

The Conversation

The Godfather Part II

Dog Day Afternoon

The Deer Hunter

Came on to post this. Ridiculous run from somebody most people wouldn’t even think of.

John Woo-Chow Yun Fat

A Better Tomorrow

A Better Tomorrow II

The Killer

Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune did a good run, Kurosawa had another film sandwhiched between them but Mifune was not part of it. I have included it as the Japanese actors in the 50s work constantly, film to film.

Seven Samurai,I Live in Fear, Throne of Blood, The Lower Depths, The Hidden Fortress,

Maybe not up there with the absolute greats but Bruce Lee's final three films were a decent run of form showing that he was on his way to the big time.

Fist Of Fury

Way Of The Dragon

Enter The Dragon

Different directors though

Enter the dragon - Robert Clouse

Way of the Dragon - Bruce Lee

Fist of Fury - Lo Wei

Lo Wei did two of Bruce's film as he did The Big Boss as well

I'm not sure the thread was asking for films by the same actor and director. The original post offered up Empire Strikes Back (Harrison Ford/Irwin Kershner) and Raiders Of The Lost Ark (Harrison Ford/Steven Spielberg).
