I agree. More unnecessary tinkering by the blazer brigade at UEFA. Loved that Golden Goal rule though.

This hasn't come from the blazers, the idea is coming from managers. Mourinho, Tuchel, Allegri, Madrids new manager and Wenger for some reason were among those who suggested the change.

 

I love away goals, when the home team needs to chase a game in extra the drama is top notch.

Why the constant need to change everything? A terrible idea, away goals is class and there is nothing wrong with it.

The Liverpool v Dortmund tie in the Europa a couple of seasons back is exactly why it's such a good rule. 

 

The ebb and flow of that tie largely because of that rule made it one of the more fascinating ties of recent years.

Why should our 3 goals at home v their 1 at home be less valuable than their 3 away goals v our 1.
