Yes, exactly.

It would be absolutely terrible if these season's Champions league was null & voided wouldn't it?  A tragedy, but lives come first.

Null & void it and start again in September/October if possible.

Let’s be honest, there’s a considerable difference between the completion of domestic leagues and one that requires continental travel to even be completed in a heavily reduced form.

It is, therefore, with a heavy heart, that I believe cancelling this season’s Champions League is the only sensible course of action. Disappointing, but all of the remaining clubs can be proud of the fact that they were doing so well up until this point; a trophy isn’t required to validate their success.

Works for me. Obviously I am very disappointed in this proposal but clearly it's the only viable option.

Congratulations to all those teams for getting this far indeed.

Rio Ferdinand:

"But I think we have to take into consideration – and it hits home again – that football is just a game. As seriously as we all took it, and take it still, it boils down to the fact that it is just a game.

Listen, if my team was in that situation I would think about people’s health and the wider society rather than my own gain.

And this is a situation where I think exactly the same no matter who’s going to go up, who’s potentially going to go down, who could have won the league and who could have finished in the Champions League positions.

"I think across the board, it’s much more clearer, black and white, and just void the season and start again afresh.

And there are going to be people disappointed, and there are going to be people that are probably more satisfied with that.

"But whichever way you go you’re going to be disappointing people and there’s going to be people that are more happy with the situation when you do it. So not everyone can win in this situation and that’s just a fact."

Surely his opinion on the premiership (above) hasn't suddenly changed. With the second spike already started in Spain (reportedly) it would be crazy not to null and void.

Lives come first!

I think it could be that they’re that used to spinning everything to do with us the wrong way they can’t help it. Our success has really driven some of them mental.

If it's not safe to travel to Spain, it's not safe. Germany and France heading the same way. I can't understand why this is still an issue. The safety of the public must come first.

Just play the Cup final and put the season to bed.

Seriously though, there's more of an argument for null and void with this, with international travel causing problems and the fact they've had to completely change the rules of how the ties are played as it is.

On top of that with it being a tournament all the clubs are in an equal position and don't stand to lose that much compared to if they voided the league.

So basically they’re guilty as sin but UEFA’s case was weak.

Yep. Hence why they refused to comply with the investigation.

They’ve weaselled their way round it by saying it covered the Ethiad Campus they built, ground sponsorship and shirt sponsorship.

You could make an argument that sort of deal now could be the richest in the world but not in 2011 or whatever. They still had Stephen Ireland & Michael Johnson starting for them back then!!!

Not sure how the time lapsed part of it comes into play. UEFA have a 5 year window to prove innocence / guilt but I suppose because they couldn’t conclusively prove it through cooking the books, then they can re-look at it.

No doubt there will be another renewal of the sponsorship deal this summer for £8297 trillion or something.

I've had a change of heart over the past number of weeks. Football is secondary to the health of the population.

They need to void the rest of the season and come September it should be safe to start the new season. I'm sure the other English clubs will be happy to sacrifice possible glory for the good of the public.

Yep totally innocent nothing to see here

Ultimately, CAS panel found Uefa was in such a hurry to get this done before new season, that it decided against fighting for docs that may have backed up case. So, City played a smart game in slowing down the process and threatened a further delay if Uefa insisted on emails.

Really strange that city fans arent calling for their game to be cancelled never mind the competition. They were all over our Atletico games saying the club should have cancelled it never mind null and void. Hypercrites.

Stupid cunts are stupid cunts no matter what team they support.

Oh and they are stupid cunts.
