Man City - the new bitters?

Raheem Sterling believes Manchester City are "not treated with the same respect" as Liverpool.

The winger joined the Reds from Queens Park Rangers' Academy as a 15-year-old in February 2010, but left many fans upset when he forced through a £44million move to the Etihad in 2015 after turning down what  Brendan Rodgers had described as “an incredible deal” in terms of a new contract offer earlier in the year.

He has now spoken to Spanish media outlet AS about the fact no City players won the Ballon d'Or of PFA Player of the Year awards despite claiming every domestic title last term.

The 25-year-old said: "Especially in the last year where we have won the domestic quadruple including the league, to not have a player winning PFA Player of the Year kind of speaks for itself really.

"The award was given to a Liverpool player who had a fantastic season but I look at previous seasons as well when Yaya Touré scored 20 goals from midfield and he didn't win Player of the Year.

"Also, Sergio Agüero has been at the club for more than seven years and has scored unbelievable goals during this time, yet none of City’s players have won it.

"I think that certain players are not treated in the same way when they are from different football clubs across the country and across the world over the past few seasons. The first year we won the league, De Bruyne was unbelievable and they gave it to another player.

"Every year we win a major trophy and it's given to an opposition player. It's that sort of thing that doesn’t depend on us, but we keep going."

Sterling was pushed for his thoughts about this and declared that City weren't treated with the same respect as Liverpool.

"It’s something everyone can see," he added.

"It is impossible to win the league for four or five times and none of the players were Player of the Year.

"Every team which wins the league has a player who wins Player of the Year, for sure.

"So, this year Liverpool win the league and a Liverpool player will win the Player of the Year for sure.

"We win the league for five times and we were not treated with the same respect."

Could be that people realise you're a bunch of cheating cunts. You cheating cunts.

He then stamped his feet, threw his action man to the floor and stormed off crying to his mummy. He tried to put his thumb in his mouth too but his arms wouldn't reach , poor lamb.

Seriously, since when has the Community Shield been considered a trophy and part of a domestic quadruple? It's a pre season curtail raiser, nothing more no matter how you want to dress it up.

I accept winning the 3 domestic trophies is an achievement but a couple of things, luck of the draw maybe but they had the easiest of runs of any team in the last 50 years to BOTH domestic cup finals. They played more lower league teams than Premier league teams. And we wont go into a couple of dodgey decisions they got, either.

All the time we were winning the League Cup, fans of other clubs were telling us it wasnt worth winning. Now, it and the Community Shield are up there with the title or European trophy.

People dont like sterling, not because of the club he plays for or the colour of his skin but, because his  agent is one of the biggest twats leeching a living of a player and he comes across as a bit of a twat you'd love to gob outside a pub.

In the last 10 years only three have played for the League winners.

When did they win the league 5 times??

Probably counting this year, because we're only top at the mo because of VAR, PED's, FA conspiracy, UEFA conspiracy, Refereeing conspiracy.

#taintedtitle remember.

Goes all godly about the steau banner in the kop calling it low even by our standards and says it’s sickening and shameful whilst having a pop and making sure he rubs it in about heysel and therefore using it for no other reason at all but to point score because we happen to support different teams. How is he any different to them?

We have had a harder run to potentially the 6th round this year than they've had in any domestic competition in the last 2 or three years

Umm - WHAT??!!

They won one title with the last kick of the season. They won another overtaking us in the final weeks. And last year ran the table to beat probably the greatest runners up in Prem history.

This year is a procession - not for them.

What about 2017-18 when they got 100 points and finished 19 ahead of Maureens lot?

When Toure scored 20 goals from midfield Sterling had a ringside view of the greatest ever peformance by any player in the 30 history of the premier league. When he cries his way to Madrid I hope Suarez is still there and bites him in the face in his first El Classico.

I suppose this cunt think that banner the everton fans carry around about the 39 fans is ok 'banter' then? And how any everton fan can like a post calling anyone from Liverpool a 'dipper' not once but twice is beyond me.

My thoughts exactly. Further to that, Suarez that season was a large reason Sterling himself was able to flourish the way he did, paving the way for his big money move to Man City. Saying shit like that just makes him sound like another cog in the Abu Dhabi propaganda machine.
