Meh.

Aside from a moment of madness from Alisson (that I think in the end is actually going to turn out to be a good thing because he will learn when he does and doesn't have the time for things like that) they produced essentially nothing.

Our attack is still just aaaalllmost clicking into gear instead of really blowing teams away but you sense that it will come. And our defense is suddenly unbelievably rigid. Well done in particular to Joe Gomez who I thought was even better than van Dijk, improbably.

All is well with the Reds. Top of the league!

Once Firmino gains his sharpness back the front three will click. Looks to be carrying a few extra pounds from the summer, but he'll work that off soon enough.

Great to be winning without hitting top gear.

Salah is a bigger worry.  Losing every physical one on one battle.  The only time he actually looks like the Salah of last season is when he has acres of space to work with.

Feels like he’s carrying a lot of weight on his shoulders from the Egypt FA stuff he just doesn’t seem as happy.

The attack looks woeful against any parked defence unless they gift us a pressing chance. Coutinho is a huge loss. We'll still do alright against teams that give us space but have a feeling a few draws will cost us the title.

I think we can thank Ramos for that. Shoulder joints can take ages to heal properly which may explain is reluctance to get too physical in challenges
