The numbers aren't great but my eyes tell me that Zaha is brilliant though.

Besides, opposing teams go in against Palace with the specific tactic of just stopping him. I doubt any rival manager's team talk revolves around keeping Sessegnon quiet.

I like Sessegnon but I did expect him to be better than he has been so far. Still a kid though and I'd be happy enough to sign him if it's to replace Moreno. If I'm signing someone to provide competition for the front three though, Sessegnon wouldn't be on the list at this moment in time.

Didn't realise Zaha was 26, the price would make him unlikely.

Neves touched the ball 6 times in the opposition box last season in the championship. Klopp expects all his midfielders to getting in the box regularly. He won't be on on radar with those numbers.

Going back to the Zaha discussions on the various threads and the love that some have for him, 26 year old Zaha has 3 goals and 2 assists (and won 2 converted penalties to give him some credit) in ~1800 minutes of play in the Prem this season playing. Granted playing for a team with a poor attack though.

18 year old Sessegnon has 2 goals and 5 assists in ~1450 minutes of his first season of top flight football playing for a team with an even worse attack.

I know who I would rather have! He probably is too expensive now for the risk, but he'll most likely be a very good player

I wasn't saying he wouldn't become a good player. But we've been linked with him since he was about 6 months old and even then they wanted about 30m quid for him! We might as well wait until he matures, he wouldn't cost us much more providing nobody else jumps in for him before that. And if they do and the fees are mental, let them.

Zaha at his best skins players for fun... but when he’s shit, he’s real destructive.

All well and good skinning players, its a fantastic skill to have, but its what you do with the ball afterwards that's important

I know, I was mainly trying to make a point to the Zaha lovers...

On that basis, sign Ed Gein.

How is Fulham's attack worse than palace? Fulham have got Schurrle and Mitrovic while palace have Benteke and Wickham. Stats do not tell the whole picture. Zaha is the biggest danger for palace and you will always see opponents doubling up on him more than often.

Eder Militao is very close to joining Real Madrid in a deal worth €50mil. Liverpool aren’t giving up without a fight, though. They’ve also matched his release clause, offered higher wages, a larger fee to his intermediaries and offered to leave him at Porto until summer.

It’s not yet known whether it’s too late for Liverpool to snatch this away from Real Madrid, but they are doing their best. Real may also increase the financial incentives in their deal or delay the transfer until summer in order to get it across the line.

I don't know if its the right thread but Liverpool are expected to become the first club in world football to report a annual net profit of 88 million pounds.

Until there's red lights on the Liver building Tom, John, Linda and Michael Edwards can all do one.

He could have both clubs on his CV. Sign for us and run his contract down before joining Real amongst a tsunami of death threats, people calling him a cunt and saying he was shite anyway.

Aye, fighting as hard as Scott Welch vs Henry Akinwande.

"I've got gloves on, see you in the summer when it's all over you cunt"

"Oh, have I lost?"

"120-108 on all three scorecards? Yeah, but I was here though"

If that’s the expectations I wonder what Klopp thinks of Henderson.

It's nothing to do with players already at the club, it's specifically to do with this player. Zaha's age and price and the fact he's not quite at the "ready made" stage means it would probably be a non runner.

I know it's not everything, but having a number of Brazilian internationals settled, happy and playing great football has to be somewhat appealing for other Brazilian players pondering a move. If they're still unsure, have Lucas give them a bell!

Yeah I think South American players need a few of them around for families to keep them happy. I think Lucas did a lot of important work behind the scenes in settling players in
