I'm not sure there is a more infuriating opinion in football than dismissing a player because they are the same nationality as an unsuccessful player of yore. Its fucking bonkers.

Italy and Serbia/Yugoslavia have produced some great players. We just haven't signed those, or it could be that players hailing from those countries just don't settle at Liverpool.

Iker Casillas on a free transfer in the summer anyone?. A decent back up keeper at 37 with massive experience of winning things. No idea whether he's seriously declined in Portugal but he can't be any worse than Mignolet can he?
