Man, even I as the resident Ligue 1 expert forgot about Fabinho for a second.

If I'm being honest though I was thinking more along the lines of French players from Ligue 1 but Fabinho will do...for now. There are some cracking French players who have played in our league such as Thierry Henry (although he signed from Italy), Robert Pires, Patrick Viera, David Ginola. I wonder how many of those types of French players actually signed from Ligue 1?

First impression is he's got a heavy touch, leading to him playing off balance a lot of the time.  Got very quick feet and is lightning over short distances which compensates for it in the main, don't think it would quite work out that way against Premiership defences though.  Kid would probably break his leg just from Bardsley looking at him.  Also, not one decent delivery in the whole video I watched.  He can tackle though, very good movement and finish for the goal.

 

If we need that kind of player, I'd give Ryan Kent a shot.

Sounds like the nearest thing to an -inho we’ll get post-Brexit.

It will be very interesting how Brexit effects football. The FA already trying to use it to force more English players into first teams.

Based on YouTube videos I’ve seen, he looks rather average. Like Eden, with less silk but more elan.
