seems to be coming into his peak years now though. I’d take the chance on him, could be the difference in finally getting us over the line in the next couple of years.

What line are we talking about here? I don't think he would help us win the Premier League as he's not got anywhere near that in his whole career as far as I'm aware.

Wait, what? You think a forward who will turn 30 before the end of the season is "coming into his peak years now"?

 

He has already started the downslope. He's probably still pretty near his peak performance because he's not particularly dependent on speed, but he's definitely not going to get any better. And to get him here you'd have to give him a contract until he's at least 34, all the while he'd be declining in performance. Two years from now it would look like a huge mistake.

 

Arnautovic would be a very Ed Woodward signing. Hopefully he'll do it in January for 50m or so and we can laugh at them as they continue to pay him 200k/week when he's 33 and 34.

I don't think he's as great as he's made out. Wasteful footballer who only gets involved with the game when it's all about him, which he wouldn't get with us - WHU seems a great platform for him. And he's about 30 now isn't he?

I watched Austria v Northern Ireland last night, he was basically held in check by a Jonny Evans who isn't getting games at Leicester and a Craig Cathcart who plays for Watford's watertight defence... he got his goal by giving Paddy McNair (Sunderland and a Midfielder) the slip at right back. He then proceeded to use the captain's armband to celebrate... making a point against those who thought making him captain was a mistake. 

 

I personally don't think he's all that, but he seems to be plenty bellend.

You only take a chance on a doofus like Arnautovic if the price is low, which it for sure isn't. Spending 50-60m on a 30 year old who is just now fulfilling his potential would be so dumb I can't even think of an appropriate metaphor for it.
