BBC is fucking cringey, the way they're giving such prominence to this non-story. They've got two OB units - one next to a broken wing-mirror in Norfolk and one outside Buckingham Palace  (although the Windsors haven't been there since before Christmas and won't be there until next month).

It’ll be on every show today. I might not even bother watching Loose Women.

Radio saying he was pulling out of the estate onto a main road. Also something about the Council having decided to cut down a tree branch.

Looks like he pulled out of a side road into the path of another car.

I've just read that he was coming out of a driveway and a car hit his. And now they are talking about reducing the speed limit from 60mph to 50mph.

Genius.

Seeing as he caused the accident you would think there would be more of a suggestion that at 98 years of age is there a problem with the fact he didn't see a car coming on the main road?

Typical fucking privileged response.

I remember teaching a girl to drive a few years back and she said she was knocked over a wall by a speeding car. It turned out the driver was a Mayoress or something similar. The police were called and the driver was going crazy at how she was suffering as a result of hitting that stupid girl.

The girl was lucky she wasn't killed. They installed a zebra crossing and of course the poor driver was assisted with her terrible ordeal.

They’re saying he was but the indulgent way they’ve been talking about his fitness to drive, ‘He’s not going to take kindly to being told what to do’ is just ridiculous.

Is this how they’d report any other 97 year old driving...a bloody Range Rover...of course it isnt

Bet he’s pissed that his insurance will be shelling out some loose change to the plebs, when a few hundred years ago he could have had them executed.

Wouldn't surprise if they are self insured and the taxpayer will pick up the tab,
