Prince Philip...

It'd be more shocking if they didn't.  You wouldn't expect them to just wing it.

I saw Steph McGovern on some programme a while back, saying she really hopes she's not hosting BBC Breakfast when the news breaks, because she reckons her Smoggy accent lacks solemnity and gravitas.

Whether it's winged or planned, to spend two weeks changing everything that is broadcast for the passing of the Queen is what is shocking rather than the fact it's planned in advance.

Important for what?

They do nothing and are 'important' because the lords, parliment and royalist want them to be important. They should have gone tbe same way as tbe French 200 years ago

Important as in she existed as head of State. Like Henry 7th, Charles II.

In 500 years she will still be in the school text books. Hopefully as the last Monarch.

Ah, gotcha.

Yeah, if they want to cancel Loose Women and Cash In The Attic for a day, I'm not going to complain. But spending two weeks pretending that I care about some nonagenarian parasite? Fuck that.

The BBC actively practice for when the Queen dies? That's quite shocking if true.

Edit : Mirror article on this confirms...

Why is it shocking though? She’s going to die at some point. You might as well have a plan.

I understand they keep obituaries on file for all the big shots
