Alisson Becker

Doesn't get half the credit he deserves from non-LFC supporters.

Maybe I'm completely biased, but I can't remember seeing a better 'keeper in my lifetime, let alone currently in world football.

I genuinely don't get worried when an opponent runs through one-on-one. I fully expect him to save it, which is ridiculous.

Waiting for Code to pop up with the "Yeah but Ederson's got more assists than Odegaard" argument.

Alisson is easily the best goalkeeper in the world, nothing more to add.

If he had played at Wembley we would have won a title already, he gives those around him more confidence on top of being absolute incredible himself.

I coach an u11 team, since I gave our keeper a tip that Ali gave me, we havent conceded a goal. Going on 2 years now.

That's not strictly true but he's become amazing at one on one's. When the forward looks down at the ball, accelerate and close the space, by the time he looks up again he's shitting himself.

Heady days debating the finer points of which one was the least shite

Not much of a debate that one, a 12 inch statue of Alan Rough would have been more use than Karius.

Needs better PR, as goalkeepers with half of his ability are being hailed as the best in the world while nobody mentions Alisson anymore.

That cunt at Villa is the prime example of this. He's top five in the league and saves a lot of pens, yet you've got people calling him the best in the world without being challenged. It's said that often now it's being taken as fact by those who know no better.

Not only is he the best I've ever seen, it isn't even something I need to think about as there's nobody even close.

Karius had a pretty good season up until the CL final, certainly compared to Mignolets standards.

the villa cunt is basically just a south american little arms. everything about him is the same, except he grew up being a massive shithouse, so is a master at it, where as little arms is fucking pathetic at it. it's like when someone really nice and polite tries to get angry and they will throw in a random swear word to prove it.

Some of his one-to-one saves recently would be raved about if it wasn't for the fact that he makes them seem routine. We could have conceded three last Sunday if it hadn't been for him.

He's the best I've seen since schmeical at one on ones. And coincidentally, I think they both played Olympic handball. I know schmeical did, and I'm nearly sure alisson did, because I think his mother played it.

Schmeical credits his one on one's with playing handball.

As much as it pains me to say it but Schmeichel was sensational at those one v ones and carried United to titles because of those saves and the points it helped accrue. Alisson has taken it yet another level from then.

Couldn't be fucked to Google how to spell Schmeichel, huh? You just though 'fuck it' and went with it?

Also, Ali is way better than the (very good) Peter Schmeichel in a one-on-one scenario. He's the best there's ever been, though Schmeichel might well be a distant second.

He gets called best in the world pretty much because Argentina are the best national team. That's all you here, oh he won the world cup and Copa

The fact most people in Brazil wants Ederson in goal doesn't help him either

I hear him referred to as best in the world often enough. Pretty sure I've heard it on both Sky and TNT in the recent past. And I just heard Irish podcast, Second Captains, debating whether he or Schmeichel is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League era. For example.

When people don't say it, it's usually because they can't bring themselves to say it about a Liverpool goalkeeper.

I know a couple of Villa fans, it’s fucking weird how highly they rate Martinez. They don’t like me reminding them that Alisson is the best in the world. Was funny last night when he gifted PSG their first goal. Beaten on his near post as well by KravatSheila in the first leg. Enough dumb cunts in the media parrot the same thing about him being the world’s best then it becomes an accepted truth. Fucking nonsense.

Olympic handball as in the sport handball or handball at the Olympics?

If its the last its obviously a big, big no as that would never happen,

They might have played handball in their younger days as it’s a big sport in both Brazil and especially Danmark.

Its also a sport you can combine with football at young age up to a certain level. I played with a few keepers who combined both handball and football myself through the years.

I’m actually a regional champion in handball at U-17 level from 87/88 and I also played at senior level up until I was 17 when we won promotion from the fourth to the third level in Norway in 88/89. After that I quiet and concentrated on football.

Handball keepers are absolute batshit crazy though.
