Alisson Becker

Just a note

Alisson has got himself back in the running for retaining the golden glove. 2 clean sheets behind Kasper Schmeichel. Not bad as he's played 13 games to Schmeichel 22.

That’s ludicrous.

It is. Since he and Joe Gomez have been back, the goals have dried up for the opposition.

Its all the last 6 games

He had played the 7 games before but we had conceded each game, since the Everton league game

Lovren limped off after 40 mins of the Bournemouth game and Gomez swapped over to CB from RB and we have gone the 6 games without a goal against. Been lucky at times but thats the way things go i guess.

Ha, he's the best in the world but if he takes it after missing those amount of games,  it says more about the rest of the teams.   It's a defensive accolade given to the keeper.

Not sure it does. We are obviously a good at defend g but. We have 8 clean sheets this year(2 Adrian/6 Alisson)

Alisson has 6 in 13 games.

The award goes to the keeper with most clean sheets and if he wins it while missing 8 games it says alot about him and what he brings. Adrian is a fine number 2 but there's no doubt he brings the defence up to a higher standard.

He's probably the best in the world right now.

Adrian is probably a not very good, but half decent PL keeper. The difference between him and Alisson I would guess is about 12-18 points over a season. Maybe more. Alisson is world class, probably the best there is. He makes it look easy in situations were a normal keeper would be hyped for a world class save.

Watching a devout Christian run a 100 yards to embrace a devout Muslim was absolutely amazing.

Been trying to figure out my favourite player from this team. It’s difficult because they’re all tremendous. But Ali has just got it for me.

what a gang of lads.

Adrian was way better than the 2 clowns before him. He’s just unlucky that he’s got Captain Shovel Hands in front of him.

Adrian alone would have been an upgrade on Ming or Karius.

He was, and he is.

But Alisson is on a complete different level.

That's one of the greatest knee slides ever. I often think that the only reason I didn't become a world famous professional footballer is because I know I couldn't do a decent knee slide. Similarly I have not taken my coaching badges because I can't whistle loud enough.

Only a Brasilian could knee side like that! And has anyone every seen a keeper do a kneeslide like it before? Ever?

Ali never put a foot wrong all game. He hung onto everything he needed to and was determined not to make the same mistake as last season.

My lad done a knee slide at Presthaven Sands on a dance floor, he was about ten and wearing quite and expensive tracksuit, for the first time. Ripped both the knees out of them.

He’s probably one of the top 5 players in the world, for me. As a goalkeeper he’s unrivalled. Even the second best (Oblak) is miles behind.

Still, he got a bit emotional at a big life moment for one of his best mates. Fuck him.
