He was at fault for 2 goals yesterday but in the overall theme of things it was just his day to be the villain. It could easily have been Fabinho or Trent, one way or the other we were losing that game and it was never going to be just an individuals fault. The whole team was shit, bar maybe Jones and he needs to be braver too, he is confident running with the ball but way to safe in possession, he's king of the turn around and start again moves that are killing us.

I also think he was very slow off his when giving away the penalty to Burnley at home. He's been a bit below his best for a while but has still made some superb saves,he even made a great save before the first goal for City. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is also playing through an injury.

I have raised the point about Adrian being on the bench instead of Kelleher, could it be that Alisson was not 100% fit, but fit enough to be considered a better option than the walking disaster Adrian?

I get players have to be confident, it's part of what makes them 'elite' players and better than the others.

The danger comes when they become over confident in their ability. Alli really should have learnt his lesson with that very first fuck up away at Leicester. There have been other times when he's fucked up, others when he's got away with it and others when he's looked simply brilliant.

He's absolutely ace when he has time to play the ball with his feet. But you see it time and again when the opposing player is rushing in to close him down he almost goes into 'oh shit!' mode. He either lashes at the ball and it goes anywhere or he thinks he can play his way out of trouble, realises he cant and fucks up massively like yesterday.

As for Adrian, he was crucified for that goal against Atletico. Im not for crucifying players but when people want to start dishing it out to the likes of him then almost turn a blind eye to Allison's similar, repeated errors, I think a bit of circumspect is called for, dont you?

Did he actually try play the ball to Robertson in the first one?

Or did he massively just fuck up his hoof?

Strangely enough, I thought he'd have done better with the first goal. Normally he parries away from danger.

Also thought he might have done better with the last one.

Then again, maybe I've seen him be so brilliant for so long that I'm expecting too much from him?

He had plenty of time. LOADS. He just fucked about for so long he rushed himself.

Could well be. I assume he had the shits or some virus mid-week which can leave you drained and he might have felt just about ok until he had to stand around in the cold.

The last one was the most worrying for me, he normally saves them, reminded me of Pepe towards the end of his time here where everything went through him. It may have shown he was shell shocked which for a keeper is fatal. Keepers are like boxers, a couple of hammerings and they go downhill. Happened with De Gaer; unbeatable for three seasons then a couple of dodgy games and hasnt been the same since. Alison needs a steady run till the end of the season, but then the whole team do.

Yeah, that last goal surprised me too,he just seemed rooted and often makes those type of saves look easy. Our defending to allow that shot was awful though so Alisson cant take all of the blame. Its such a shame as we were drawing 1-1 before his two fuck ups and might just have scraped something from the game. Probably a draw at best though.
