Agree that he looks a bit heavier, that often happens with long injury layoffs (and Covid-related layoffs it seems). Strength training/conditioning can just go so far in terms of getting you fully match fit, even for keepers. 

 

After watching Kelleher tonight I'm a bit calmer about our upcoming time without Allison, even if we'll miss his sweeper-keeper skills. Hopefully he's allowed to get fully fit this time around.

He was out for 3 weeks. Injured on the eve of villa. Returned against sheff United.

I've got to say though in all the years of watching us, I don't think I remember us having a number 1 who has quite the number of injuries alisson does.

He had his problems for sure. He was never number 1 though was he? I know he got that one chance when he was injured already and watched every goal into the net for about a dozen games before his back properly went, but I can't recall someone who was our main man.

Its infuriating. Mignolet and Karius never got injured but Alisson can't seem to stay fit for a long period of time.

Thought Alli had a great game with a couple of excellent stops. The Pogba one didnt tyler say 'straight at him'? Yeah from 2 metres giving him fuck all chance to react to it but he did. And it was a full on drive as well. Saved another late on but they said there was an offside but he didnt know.

Made a couple other great saves in situations which turned out to be offside. And apart from the vital saves which did count, he was at his commanding best today overall. He was also very quick out of his box when needed.

 

Always feel that we stand a high chance of keeping clean sheets when he is there in top form.
