It's great to have a proper keeper, we've had shite ones for years. Must give our defence great confidence knowing he's behind them.

We've had some proper keepers in the past. Dudek had times where he was fantastic, same with Reina.

But this guy is genuinely the best keeper on the planet. That's another level all together.

We've gone from having loris karius to the worlds #1

Happy days

Magnets fella, oldest trick in the book

Love it. When we needed him yesterday he was there. With each save or great save he makes I say to myself "he's unbelievable, if that was mig it would be in" not this lad though, world's best keeper.

There are people who actually think Ederson is better. Mind boggling.

Superb today

Ederson is much quicker off his line and is a sweeper keeper "haven't heard that in a while", I like that part of his game but I'd never swap him for ours. He's also got shit tattoos.

Some dopes even think pickford is better. That's the real mind boggling one....

Those dopes only belong to one club though.  Anyone but a rabid, foaming at the mouth Blooshite would concede that Alisson is simply light years ahead of short arms.  A keeper like Alisson regularly gives you the chance to win games, whereas you only have to look at how short arms got his nickname.

You don't hear people bringing up how much we paid for Alisson any more, that's something in itself.

The thing what I like about Alisson is, he doesnt have to make gymnastic type super saves to make them look like world class saves. His positioning, in the main, means he's nearly always in the right position to make the block and keep the ball out.

That's not to say he doesnt have the qualities to make gymnastic type saves. The one he made late in the game away at Burnley with the score 1-1, was one of THE best world class saves I seen any keeper make since Gordon Bank's effort to keep Pele's header out in Mexico.

That's not just because it stopped Burnley going 2-1 up late in the game but because he had little time to react and even if the ball had of been square, it couldnt have got closer to the angle of post and bar. And that's just about the worst place any keeper wants to see the ball heading.

I hate to say it but ederson is a very good keeper. If we didnt have Ali, he'd be a good alternative. But for me, Ali is the number 1.

For all the recent focus on distribution whenever the position is discussed, it’s the bread and butter stuff that he does best, making great saves at vital times and generally making his job look a lot easier than it is.

Brucie is the first of our keepers I remember, and this lad is a cut above any of them.

i genuinly think the value of his distribution can not be overestimated. Take the second goal today. What he’s doing looks pretty straight forward, but just imagine Mignolet in the same situation standing there with a stupid look on his face holding on to the ball. Goal wouldn’t have happened.

Of course Alisson is about a million times better with all the traditional keeper stuff, like keeping the ball out of his own net, as well. Which helps.

Wouldn't swap him or Van Dijk for anyone in world football.

Wouldn't swap our fullbacks for any fullbacks in the world either.

These 4 are the reason we've gone from a good team to the what in the world.
