Surely Villa will spend a bit of cash. They've also got a few Prem level players in that squad already

Grealish? They don’t own Abraham, Mings or El Ghazi their better players today.

They have a few decent players but will have to buy/spend incredibly well in my opinion.

Hope Newcastle and Villa  buy some of our out of favour players.

Still remains to be seen if this new Arab owner is legit but he's only bought them for £350m as opposed to the £2bn he allegedly offered to FSG.

Just need Usmanov to buy Charlton and that's Everton's hope gone.

You don't get to be that rich by being stupid. The days of wealthy individuals buying club's to compete at the top end of the division are done. When you're up against oil states no billionaire is rich enough, only other oil states can get involved in that game. Usmanov or any other billionaire could piss 25% of his fortune away on Everton or Newcastle and still not put a dent into the top 4, never mind the top 2.

Fair point, you'd think they'd look to make at least a couple of those perm. Mcginn looks decent too. But yes they'll need to spend some cash

You would think they would yes, they need experience of the PL but not journeymen. Going to be difficult but they need to avoid a Fulham situation.

You just know we will be level on points with Man City in February and we win at the weekend then Man City twat Villa 8-0 away on Monday Night Football without Villa even getting a corner.

Haha yeah that sounds about right.

Or they twat them in late april and the villa fans are singing "we hope you win the league".

Anyhow, i think a good bet for next season may be both us and city to get 100 points plus. We will be less likely to take the point at places like the emirates and i can't see us dropping points to the rest of the league, bar at somewhere like leicester. The only way City don't get 100 points is if they have an injury crisis and they go all out prioritising the champions league.
