Henry starting to realize the full extent of his error.

2-0 Atletico after 25 minutes.

Well - more likely that Monaco are realising their error. He has never seemed particularly intelligent, insightful or assertive in his punditry; his sole experience is working alongside Martinez in an international position by its nature being effectively part-time. Nothing to prepare him for the rigours of club football, and nothing o suggest he’s remotely up to the level of football he’s managing ...

That's a bit unfair, relating his punditry to his potential ability to manage a team. His problem is that he took over a disaster of a situation. Monaco's squad is so light that they've been forced to play a 16-17 year old in pretty much every part of the pitch and the remaining few seasoned pro's that they didn't sell in the summer have completely given up. For the first time, they've done an atrocious job at rebuilding the squad and it cost Jardim - a manager who basically performed miracles there - his job. This is all the fault of ownership.

He should've taken the Bordeaux or Aston Villa job, he would've actually had more to work with there.

Looks like a perfect player for us to rotate next season. I know there's a big jump from the Championship to the Premier League but he looks class.

I mean, not really. Punditry generally tends towards the banal. A character like Gary Neville (himself an utter managerial failure) looks smart because he talks an Everyman language while stringing a few coherent sentences together — which others can’t. Even in this company, Henry has never stood out for his insight or attention to detail or indeed any kind of intensity. I suppose we will see how it goes: I would stand to wager that he is just another player taking a job on the back of his career as a player and that Monaco is his beginning and end. We’ll see. Good football managers are equivalent to top company executives — just because someone once kicked a ball around well suggests very little about their ability to transition.

Maureen must be trolling them to get his pay off. Why are they playing four DM's against Southampton? Why is Matic a CB? Is there a sweepstake going on with the mancs to see who get's a go in the back four each week? Pogba to get a go in the 2nd half as a fullback, he's already played as a CB this season. Loving it, they are shite.
