Just got home from work, so I don't know if this is live or not, and I'm not going to check.

Union Berlin and Stuttgart still tied at 2 in their play-off. And what I've seen has been non-stop action.

A couple of days late?

A number of first and second division players have been arrested in Spain over suspicions of forming a criminal organisation dedicated to match fixing, Spanish newspaper El Pais reported on Tuesday.

A spokeswoman for the Spanish police confirmed that there was an open investigation though did not give any details.

Additional reports in El Periodico state several footballers have been arrested in the operation, including former Real Madrid player Raul Bravo, Real Valladolid's Borja Fernandez, Getafe's Samuel Saiz Alonso, Deportivo de La Coruna's Inigo Lopez Montana and Carlos Aranda, who is now retired, but formerly played for Osasuna and Levante among others.

Agustin Lasaosa, president of Huesca, and Juan Carlos Galindo Lanuza, who is head of the medical services of the same club, have also been arrested.

According to the reports, all detainees are accused of belonging to a criminal organisation, corruption and money laundering.

This investigation is in regards to alleged match fixing in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons.

Police are currently searching the offices of Huesca, who got relegated to Segunda Division at the end of the season. They gained promotion to La Liga in 2017/18 season.

They are also searching Borja Fernandez's home in Valladolid

Jesus Christ, no wonder so many clubs are jealous of us.

Just watching a report about the Chelsea arse final and the fans were moaning because they had to go 'all the way' to Baku and given that two London clubs were playing it should have been moved 'closer to home' (I.e London presumably). There was actually a petition apparently.

Neither club has sold their full allocation of 6,000 tickets either.

Fucking pathetic.

Just reading a bit about Bury, saying that they could cease to exist as a club in the next few weeks due to financial difficulties and the latest owner is refusing to sell the club. Or, at least, not taking any offers seriously.

Somebody did a Companies House search of all the businesses the Bury owner has been linked to in one way or another and it's something like 36 out of 43 of them have gone to the wall or been dissolved. It raises questions of why was he allowed to buy the club in the first place? All this just after they've been promoted.

Their manager, Ryan Lowe, is apparently being watched by a few bigger clubs due to their attractive, attacking style of football. He apparently has a decent relationship with Klopp after we played them in a pre-season game.

That due diligence is a load of bollocks.

Heart bleeds for them doesn't it....

I remember playing Chelsea in the 2012 Cup Final which took 7 hours to get home by coach after losing while they were probably at home having their tea before we even got out of the Wembley car park.

This was of course after having to play Everton in the semi for a 12.30 kick off while the trains were on strike

It's mindblowing.

Most of the Liverpool fans I know over a certain age their best football and indeed life stories revolve around antics of having to try and get to a game abroad.

Watched the report again last night and Baku town centre was deserted with just some fat Chelsea fan wandering around.

They Even said the authorities have been GIVING away tickets to locals to make the ground look full.

Dislike Chelsea more than Arsenal, but seeing as an Arsenal win elevates them to the CL riches and stops them having to spend Thursday nights shuffling around places where people still point at planes , Chelsea seem to be the obvious choice here.

Ah. Forgot about that. A very good point. Gooners winning it would enhance their attraction to decent players too. Fuck that.

Logically yes but I can't ignore my inner loathing of Chelsea.

Hope Arsenal win.

Not that arsed about them getting into the Champions League and having a few more quid for players - we'll still be much better.

Looking at the broader picture, we need a few more clubs who can potentially take points off Manchester City.
