Jesus reading this forum you would think we are playing Man city, its Spurs yes it will be tough but we have got enough quality to beat them.

People are just disappointed, we just saw an almost certain win torn out of our grasp at the last minute, there’s also a very real sense of “ names on the cup” for Spurs the way the competition has gone for them.

This.

We'd have battered Ajax - their style is made for us and their naivety, lack of ability to cope with intensity and a bit of physicallity would have seen us beat them handily.

I’d be a lot more optimistic about facing Man City - we’ve played them twice and deserved more than to come away with a single point, whereas Spurs should have beaten us at Anfield and always cause us great difficulty despite rarely winning. They’re due one, and it’s hard not to see it being in this final.

Christ! how do some of you miserable cunts get out of the bed in the morning? Twenty four hours after what was probably the best display of football I've ever see from us and people are worried about who we got in the final, a final that nobody gave us a chance to be a part of after last week. I, for one, couldn't give a shit who we play in Madrid... We're fucking there, we're fucking Liverpool.

Yeah the last part bothers me the most. They should have been out of the competition so many times but instead they're in the final! Maybe it's fate...

Spurs’ name has never been on any cup. Relax.

Not sure about this “almost certain win”. They did beat both Real and Juve. They could’ve also easily gone through tonight. Spurs will be a tough game, but Ajax wouldn’t have been a walkover.

Worst aspect of this is what its going to do to ticket prices .. good luck finding a ticket short of 3k if not gotten straight through the ballot ..

Complete bottle job from Ajax to tear Real Madrid and Juventus apart and then concede three goals at home in one half of football to get knocked out. It’s not like Spurs are European giants with a vast amount more experience either.
