We threw away a lead. I'm over it.

City are on the way to break the all time record for most number of wins consecutively that they set only a year ago.

When they lost to Newcastle in January if someone said that they'd win every single game until the end of the season there's no chance anyone would not make them favourites to win it. We didn't throw away anything.

Yep. We are against the most financially doped team in history backed by a  bunch of human rights abusers.

The fact that we pushed them this far is a miracle and a testament to the manager and the team.

On the bright side Guardiola will be gone after another season

We couldn't have done any more. We demolished everyone at home and played for the draw away against the Top 6. That's how you win titles, and it was executed perfectly all season. It's just, those rules don't apply anymore. If we want to win the title next year we have to go out to win... every... single... game. Draws at Old Trafford, The Emirates and Stamford Bridge aren't good enough anymore. That's the level now.

Not saying a doper will always be a doper. But there is probably a good chance when you've cheated with medicine that's on WADA's list that you'll do it again with no remorse. Even the same fucking doctor who supplied him with the shit is employed by the club. As if financial doping is not enough.

Dry your eyes boys. Bitterness consumes the vessel that contain it.

Shoulders back. Chests out. We have done fucking great this season and it has been a pleasure to watch us.

City deserve to be where they are. Don't make them the focus - keep Liverpool front and centre.

I fear now that our squad will be broken up. There will be players and agents saying “ what more could we have done, maybe time to move on”

I would love to think we could go again next season, but I just can’t see it.

City are killing football and the authorities will not do anything to stop it.

Maybe some players will move on, but others will come. They'll see something great in the club. They'll see Kloppo and his passion. They'll see a force in the Champions League and a team that can compete for a title.

They’re everyone's second club. The transition into England's very own white knight of football is complete. They are Barcelona, Real Madrid and the steaming obsequiousness of the punditry rolled into one.

Who cares about people's second clubs. Wishy-washy fannies have second clubs. (No offence to any genuine wishy-washy fannies reading this.)

They deserve to be where they are  - but they haven't got a tenth of what we have.

They aren't white knights at all. They are the Nouveau Riche. They don't really fit in amongst the footballing glitterati.

Unlike Chelsea they are not completely soulless. However they have something missing. They have stumbled upon their riches without having to fight for them and earn them. They haven't won over people across the world, through tough European and domestic campaigns. They haven't conquered places, people and hearts.

You can see this at their ground on any matchday. They can't fill stadiums they visit. In fact they can't even fill their own 55000 capacity stadium when they are in a dogfight to the title. The flags you see waving around at the Etihad are mass produced. They're plastic flags. Made by marketing men to fill the void that would have been filled with fans' tales of the glories of previous managers, players and campaigns.

We are so much more than that.

When you look around Anfield you see flags. But they're different. They're homemade flags. If not actually made at home from cutout letters, then designed at home and telling someone's own individual story of footballing lagacy. The Like with any campaigns, some of the flags are about triumph and glory but some reflect sadness, some loss and others reflect determination.

Hold your heads up high. Remember what someone on here said about getting stick from Blues or other fans...they're all 30-odd points behind us...they're trying to critisize us, but it's like some homeless tramps coming around to your house and trying to take the piss out of your interior design.

It really is absurd that 90+ points is what it'll take to just challenge for the title for the next 5 or 10 years. And until the final whistle has been blown at the end of 90 minutes on Sunday this league season hasn't been decided either.

When will something be done about them? When they start winning Champions Leagues that’s when, the likes of Barca, Real etc won’t like that, you know, the guardians of football.

Yep, it took PSG taking Neymar off Barca and signing Mbappe ahead of Madrid to get them FFP sanctions - still the French League haven't done anything about them though, I don't think.  City have been shit in Europe so Barca and Real don't care about them yet.

Mind you, it would still take a thoroughly massive investigation from UEFA with shit loads of irrefutable evidence before the FA do anything.  A fair bit of City's financial cheating is out there and detailed in the Football Leaks thing, but not a sausage from the FA or UEFA.

Already had a row with a United fan at work.

He was over the moon.

I dont get the amount of people backing City. We could end up with a monster point haul having lost 1 game and still not win it- doesnt bode well for the Premier League going forward.

There seems to be an acceptance that nothing is being done about it. An investigation was opened, running commentary was never going to be forthcoming. I still have hope this will all blow up in their face.

Yeah, sponsor yourself and back date alleged sponsorship if necessary to cover FFP, manipulate attendances, illegal player payments etc etc.

Everyone wants the biggest cheats English football has ever seen to win, what is wrong with fans.

Everybody wants City to win because it's Liverpool challenging them. If it was Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs they'd all be backing them instead of City.

Let's just concentrate on Barca tonight and Wolves on Sunday. If we end up with nothing it's galling but so be it.

Irrespective we've made serious progress this season, just add one or two genuine quality attacking options to fill out the bench like City have and there's no reason why we can't take another small step forward. A 4th attacking option to rotate our front three would be enough.

Us and City are well ahead of the other top six sides, it wouldn't surprise me if we now end up with several seasons of competition between us and City like the mancs and Arsenal did in the nineties and early 2000's.

Nah. If we got 100 points this season beating city we would be champions. How do we win the league next season? Beat the shite like we have this season and also beat City. Do that and they don't stand a chance.

We go again.

Who’s running the investigation?

Which expert forensic accountants and lawyers are on the case?

Only skim-read this but I think Jennings is suggesting that we make our own KLOPP OUT banners with bed-sheets.

Players want to win things and given the things in City’s favour the likelihood of doing that diminishes every year unless you play for them. Maybe teams actually having a go at them occasionally might help. Although the bald dope cheat thinks we’ve had it easy. Odious little prick, should be no love for him from other fans.

The heavy lifting part of the investigation was done by journalists, I'm sure all UEFA have to do is compile some questions based on the allegations and place the onus on City to disprove them.

UEFA need the support of the big clubs to make this happen, we know the Spanish club's are happy to pile on, I assume the Germans would be too but who else is the big question. Liverpool should be all over it, perversely so should Chelsea as they have appeared to at least try and comply with FFP. It should be a no brainer for Utd , Arsenal and Spurs to be on board too.

I'm not overly optimistic but the evidence was so clear it's as good as laughing in UEFA's face.

Made my peace with it a while back. Fuck City and their shitty titles, they mean nothing. The fucking Lance Armstrong of football. And fuck Guardiola too the sanctimonious prick.

We've got a boss defense, attack and manager and we'll have a boss midfield next season too with the Ox back firing. It still may not be enough but it'll be a fun ride like this season.
