Can only laugh at the whole Manchester City 'project' really. Such a soulless enterprise.

'Soulless enterprise' is the perfect description or as the great Bobby Boucher once said 'Imagine having all those teeth but no toothbrush'

Yo-yo club that won the lottery. Cannot fill the ground with tonnes of freebie seats.

Like Everton without any real history. I have a story about their new fans for a later date.

Everton were a proper club back in the day. City were maybe the tenth biggest club in the land and i might well be too generous in saying that.

United fans should be very worried about City and how they could turn into a dynasty over the next decade. They won the league with 100 points last year and could get 98 this year. The fact we put it up to them this year shows how good we are, but they could regularly be getting 95 plus points for the next few years. United are a long way from that.

Meanwhile United have the goblin prince in charge with De Gea possibly off to Spain. Without top 4, they may need to take punts on players they wouldn't normally sign, hoping they can pull them back up.

Even Neville mentioned it a few weeks ago, that Liverpool winning the league might ultimately be better for United, as it halts City's potential dominance.

Stones and Sterling trying to cajole City fans to buy up the unsold tickets for tomorrow , embarrassing.

They seem to struggle with selling tickets at home for games no matter how big the match is they are playing.

Are City charging more for tickets than other premier league sides ? I'd have thought the way the attendance has been for them they should be looking to bring price's down to sell out the ground and create an atmosphere.

They both worshipped at the altar of Joe Royle.

And they’re extending the ground as well. It’s been said thousands of times but the similarities to using the money cheat on Football Manager are uncanny.

That's like a single bloke adding an extension on his 5 bedroom detached.

Saw adverts around Manchester for £40 for tomorrow night's game.

Now £40 is too expensive (modern football) but not being able to sell out a Champions League Quarter Final is a fucking disgrace.  You'd never see us, utd or Arsenal (probably Chelsea too) not being able to sell out.

They have some of the cheapest in the league, they are subsidised in some instances. Tickets go up for ‘bigger’ games and CL, but still not as much as other teams.

City have a small, financially restricted, apathetic and lower on the IQ scale supporter profile and no matter what they do you ain’t schlepping 15,000 day trippers in to fill the place out, because, when all things are considered, it’s fucking boring watching them trounce shite every other weekend.

No real history, no real romance, no real ‘grab’. Just a soulless corporate exercise in perception management for Abu Dhabi.

I'm really looking forward to United getting a dry bumming this evening.  A sphincter wreck of Mook proportions will inspire them to save their season in their derby game.

I'll just be happy to see the media finally shut the fuck up with their ridiculously tenuous connections to a final 20 years ago against a frigging different team.

I was at that game in the Annie Rd end and can tell you that the mood before the game was one of camaraderie between us and Blackburn fans. Outside we were all together singing songs.

Ferguson had been battering the papers all week saying we would lay down for Blackburn blah blah fucking blah. Evo was saying we were going out to win every game as Liverpool always do (basically fuck off you whisky nosed cunt)

Blackburn didn't enamour themselves with the fans by making us attack the Kop first half.

Shearer scored for them first. Not long after he scored West Ham went ahead against United so regardless of our result Blackburn were champions.

Second half we were just knocking the ball about really. Blackburn seemed content for us to have it without doing much pressing but then Digger scored. 1-1 and around about then United equalised so it was pretty tense around the ground.

Again the game seemed to go into a lull but then Babb played a bad ball back to Calamity and they nicked in and won it.. The ball was heading in but John Scales cleared it off the line. Shearer missed a chance he was putting away all year smashing it over.

Deep into injury time Batty kicked fuck out of McManaman about 30 yards out. I was right in line with the ball that Redknapp was hitting thinking he is going to score here. He actually moved the ball a couple of yards to his right (a la Souness used to do) and only fucking bent it into the top corner!

The ground erupted for us scoring as you would expect but for the next 1-2 minutes was a bit strange as we were still hoping it was 1-1 in the other game.

Next thing the Blackburn fans start screaming and we knew that United had drawn. Kenny came onto the pitch and Colin Hendry ran over to him.

I remember us all staying in the ground singing "Are you watching Manchester??" and clapping the champions as they did a lap of honour. They got in front of the Kop who were all clapping and then they started singing "We beat the champions". Must have stayed in the ground for a good hour after the game.

Great atmosphere. Brilliant that we won and was in United's hands but they couldn't do it. Shows we always look to win a game regardless of what that result means.

I just wanted us to win it and fans around me were shouting "make them earn it". Let's see what United are made of.
