If that's what he actually said I find it a little bizarre. It might seem extreme to English speakers but after living in Spain for a couple of years I can confidently say people use that type of language all the time and it's not that big a deal. Basically the equivalent of calling the ref a twat or a dickhead. Merits a yellow for sure but not a straight red and an eight match ban.

He basically got two four game bans. One for insulting the ref and the second for grabbing his arm after receiving the red.
