Just said similar to a mate. They are getting absolutely everything go their way at the moment but there is still a fair amount of time left in the season, we have been stung at the very last in recent years and it would be nice to see that turn this year on these cheating cunts

Is right.

Always interesting how some minds would disregard factual, empirical evidence (ask a 5-minute-mile-running marathon runner to tack on another 5 or 10 miles at the same pace and hear them say "nah, fatigue won't be an issue") in favour of a mysterious psychological force that dictates a loss in a Cup competition would offset momentum. More games for City is more miles on the clock and more lactic acid in the body and more chances of injuries and reduced recovery time. They might win the league anyway - but suggesting its a bad thing for these empirical circumstances to occur is strange.

True, but the psychological boost of winning also 'gives' one more energy, so to speak. Exactly where is the perfect balance is the fascinating part of this discussion.

Hopefully they get Man U in the next round. The more epic games they have to play in the better. And if they win every game? Well then they probably deserve it (with the caveat that the club is a cheating, rule breaking bunch of twats, obviously).

Yep, better a manc derby in the semi than the actual final, landing it right in the middle of an already-brutal April fixture pile-up.

Damn right,  keep them games coming for them.   Something which quite obviously helps our chances in the league.

Unless of course you completely ignore fatigue and more chance of injuries

I'm with you on this. It's 4 competitions that they're trying to win. Now they've 13 high profile games in 44 days. If we keep our foot on the gas, we could be 5to7 clear with them having 2to3 games in hand.

They win all them then fair fucks but surely all these games will take their toll and hopefully in a league game
