No matter the personnel, they control games too well. Only a few teams is the league can get decent counters against them and then they still have to be very clinical.

We'll need to be virtually perfect to win the title. We might have to stay undefeated and not accumulate too many draws.

I'm not convinced judging Man City by their performance against Everton is setting a realistic standard. They are really, really shite.

Chelsea bossed them off the park and they are hardly setting the League alight themselves, having been owned by Spurs themselves. Teams can get at City but they HAVE to take their chances. Everton could have been 1-0 up and could have drawn level at 2-1 down but they didn't take their chances. Chelsea did.

City are beatable.

Every team in the world is beatable, but the chances that the 7-20 range of teams in this league get anything against City is very slim. That is a massive problem and it's why we'll need to basically be unbeatable as well.

And we didn't look great against Chelsea either. They're a quality team with a quality manager.

Chelsea are a quality team with a very good manager, but they are very inconsistent at the start of this season. Great against City, average against Spurs. We will most likely beat teams ranged 7-20. That's why it's so tight at the top but some teams have tried to win against us and have found our defence and goalkeeper too good. Theirs lets in lots of chances but teams must take them to get anything. Shooting off target with most of the chances is what is helping City win games.

I mean, no. They win games because they're averaging almost 3 goals scored per game in the league. No team 7-20 has the firepower to match that so they get absolutely leveled. Plus, they have the ball 65-70% of the time. You might get the off game where their finishing is bad and someone has 2-3 decent chances against them, but that's been exceedingly rare the last two years.

I'm convinced, we'll need to lose 3 games max and limit the draws to even have a shot.

The stats don't tell the whole story. Against Chelsea, City had the lions share of the possession in the first half. Chelsea were allowing them to have it and trying (and failing) to build any meaningful attacks as they were passing short and giving the ball back.

Cue David Luiz with a long cross-field pass which caught City napping and with their first genuine chance on goal, Chelsea were a goal up. Then a corner, header and goal - 2-0. Two chances, two goals. Rest of the game was City trying to score with lots of possession.

If teams take the chances they make, they will have a chance against them. If they don't, of course City will eventually score and go on to win the game.

Didn't know Robbie was interested in management , has he got all his badges etc.

Apparently so, also managed a club in Thailand for just under a year. He has qualified but lacks real experience. He has applied for jobs but doesn't get offered them.
