The way city attack the wide areas is something we could and should try. They overlap better than anyone and instead of the wide players coming in like mane and salah, which constricts space inside for Bobby, they stay wide so they have the option of finding Silva inside or playing a 1,2 with the full back.

We have the players to do this for at least ten mins a game. It opens up the pitch against the bus parkers and it'll give our opponents something very different to think about.

We come through the next few weeks and avoid defeat to them and we are in a title race. We haven't even got out of third gear up front which says alot for our defence.

United newcastle and arsenal at home, wolves burnley bournemouth and city away is an awful few games but if we are within 2 points of them i'd be confident.

We'll have played four of the the top 6 away, one of the derby games and games against bournemouth, leicester and watford away done and dusted.

Our squad size against city concerns me. I genuinely would sacrifice europe for a proper go at the title. We can't compete on two fronts.

If we get through these games and be within two points, I'll fancy us to overhaul them.  Regarding Europe, it would take a freak set of results to eliminate us completely. Psg need something from Red Star, and we'd end up more likely to get comedy Thursdays in the Europa.

All we can do is try and rack up as many points as we can but it is ridiculous that here we are unbeaten in 14 games and go into game 15 in a situation that if we don't win it we are 4 or 5 pts off top.

A truly ridiculous position to be in.

Real Madrid for example have lost 5 of their first 14 ... 5 out of fucking 14 and are 5 pts off top.

Barcelona are averaging 2 pts a game and are top of La Liga....we are averaging over 2.5 pts a game and are barely hanging onto City's coat tails.

Mad!

But it isn't good for the league to have a financially doped side rack up 100 frigging points a season.

The key to that is having technical midfielders like Silva, De Bruyne and Bernardo to effectively create 3 on 2's with the full back and winger close to the 18 yard box. When they've got 3 guys on one side overlapping and putting the right ball in, no one can stop it.

We don't have anyone who can do that, no one does. That's why they get tap-ins every game and no one else does. If other teams could do it, they would.

There's no point even hoping City will drop points because they're just not going to. I think even if Watford had equalised City would have scored again last night.

It's not going to happen I'm afraid, and it's not healthy for City to be running away with it like this. I fear the PL is turning in to the SPL.

I would be amazed if the league title is decided on goal difference this season.

It has only happened about six times in the history of the top division, once in the Premier league (2011-12) and before this 1988-89 when Arsenal won it at our expense.

Pedant alert - Arsenal beat us on goals scored in 88-89, we both had the same goal difference.

Fuck City, oil built and manufactured, human rights abusing shower of mercenary cunts. Billions spent so let’s suck their arse holes and fall at the altar of Pep the genius. Sick of fucking hearing it especially on a Liverpool site.

Appreciation of football is fine like, the ott from certain media sources and others is nuts. They won’t win the CL either. Not snidey enough.

Little interesting stat I came upon on this Wednesday: The Foxes have quietly conceded fewer goals (17) this season than all but five sides, beating Arsenal (18) and trailing Everton and Tottenham by just one and three goals respectively. Over the last five Premier League games – the majority of which Maguire has been absent for – they have conceded fewer goals than Manchester City (4), with only a fantastic Liverpool side (2) able to match them.

Looks a lot like Leicester are a better defensive team without Harry Maguire. Thoughts? @aRdja

Imagine how good they’ll be when he’s back.
