O'Neil and Keane have left the Republic job. Mick McCarthy evens favourite. Just looked at the odds list and its very under-whelming who could be likely to take the job. To be honest, looking at that Ireland squad, its the worst I've ever seen. They need a fucking miracle.

The next 5 on the odds list

Steven Kenny

Neil Lennon

Steve Bruce

Carlos Queiroz

Sven Goran Eriksson

Kenny Dalglish is 225/1

The FAI still behave like a corner shop operation. No way they have the money to hire a mercenary on megabucks.

Not a lot of depth to their squad since they abandoned the "qualify to play for Ireland because my granddad once had a pint of Guinness in a Dublin pub" clause, so they wouldn't get anywhere hiring a progressive coach either.

Ireland always had plenty of top irish born players to be fair. They're fucking shite the last ten or so years though.

At least, they can't get worse.

They didn't abandon that policy, it's just the top players are teetotal now and only league 1 blagards are drinking Guinness these days. Id guess the percentage of players born outside of Ireland was higher in that last squad than it's ever been before. Never heard of half the cunts.

If they had any sense , looking at that list , the FAI would make a beeline for Kenny & not even contemplate the other 5 wage-hoovering bores. Probably the cheapest option too.

Just to clarify , I meant the Dundalk lad not the King ( Can't see him wanting it )

Molby in the Echo was making the point that all of our internationals had good experiences this week & it might be a positive for a change.

Struggling to think of a single positive from all our best players being run into the ground all week ahead of a really busy period whilst most of our rivals best players rested...if like Aguero for example Salah, Firmino and Mane had had a nice rest then yeah....but they haven't.

Even Keita as Klopp pointed out today is fucked from a 3 stop flight home....

They’re probably happier.
