Inrernational football is shite enough for me but to turn an international into effectively a testimonial and have a player play in it who finished playing inteternational footy ages ago is turning it into a farce - to then ask players of top teams who are smack bang in middle of european cup games and big PL games to play in it is insulting.

Klopp should be pulling all our boys.

This. Just pull our players and tell them to fuck off.

Such a frustrating season. Apart from the comical mancs none of the top sides are dropping any points. Never known a season quite like this.

The gap has never been bigger and the league is full of cowardly shite.

It's sad to see - some kind of European super league can't come quick enough for me

Shite like southampton et al are bagging millions upon millions for being totally mediocre, having no ambition beyond banking next years pl money and just surviving whilst bending over every time they face a good team

And the same thing will happen in that! City, Real, Barca and Juve would end up miles ahead of the rest!

While there's this amount of money in the game there is no level playing field.

Southampton have showed more fight against them than they did against us. City are just too good, it's nothing to do with being cowardly.

Southampton et al. are cowardly in Europe but definitely not in the Premier League.

I'm not so sure - clubs like Atletico, us, Arsenal etc have far too much ambition, pride and pull to allow that.....these clubs in the PL like Southampton et al have no ambition, no desire beyond staying up.

They are among the richest clubs in the world these shite teams in PL like West Ham for example are in top 20 and look at the fucking state of them.

Fuck them and let them be mediocre in a mediocre league for mediocre money.

The game has become all about money and it isn't gonna change so it may as well now take the last step and at least have decent competition for the clubs with the most and stop rewarding absolute dross so handsomely.

The PL is choker full of cowards....

Yes of course these teams are outgunned as well because city etc are better than them but being outgunned and cowards is a deadly combination.

From BBC live text.

Post update

Man City 3-1 Southampton

Someone make a tackle. Someone. Anyone. Please.

They talk about walking the ball into the net. This is perhaps the best example you'll ever see.

Sterling beats one man, two men, another, then finds Sane, who does the same, as does Silva, and Aguero. All this without a shot coming. Finally, a foot in a red sock pokes out and diverts the ball to Kyle Walker, whose shot is off target.

Bonkers.

City are basically the equivalent of 2010 Barca in terms of dominance. What exactly do you want teams to do against them?

Wolves had a plan when they played them and we’re well worth the point they got. Not throwing the towel in before a ball is kicked always helps.

It isn't just City is it...

There are 3 unbeaten teams in the 'best league in the world'

That is more than in la liga, serie a and the bundesliga put together.
