Just read a good article on the Guardian about one of the bloggers on that Spielverlagerung tactics blog. The one that was widely shared when we appointed Klopp because of its detailed analysis of the gegenpressing tactic.

Apparently, largely off the strength of his blog, he got a job coaching with RB Salzburg's youth team and is now assistant manager of their first team.

I had the same three with Atletico as well.

Tonight's was Bayern, United, Juventus, and Real Madrid -1. Could have done the whole lot at -1.

Chelsea, Leverkusen, Kiev, Leipzig for me tomorrow.

Marseille huffing and puffing against ten men and Steven Gerrard working miracles are stiffing me already.

Gerrard bummed me out of £150.

And I had an anytime scorer patent on Ben Yedder, Bacca and Samatta for Genk. First two were in. Cashed out. About 3 minutes later, Samatta nets.

Still slightly up but it could've been much better. On to the 8 o'clock kick offs....

Augustin (RB Leipzig), Edouard (Celtic) and Hassan (Olympiacos) anytime patent.

Plus, this bad boy....

RB Leipzig are getting fucking smashed by Salzburg. It’s only 0-2 but could be more.

Would that be Red Bull ‘definitely not owned by Red Bull’ Salzburg?

Fucking dodgy cunts, those Red Bull wankers. I bet this match was settled when the draw was made.

I only really turned it on to see Timo Werner, and now he’s not playing I can’t be bothered.

Emre Can in trouble...

Ex-Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been forced to apologise for comments he made in relation to Cristiano Ronaldo’s red card on Wednesday night.

The Portuguese superstar was sent off after half an hour of Juventus’ 2-0 win away to Valencia after appearing to put his hand on the head of the Spanish club’s defender Jeison Murillo.

He has received an automatic one-match ban which cannot be appealed but UEFA’s disciplinary panel could extend it depending on the contents of the report sent to them.

Ronaldo will definitely miss Juve’s next match at home to Young Boys – but unless the ban is extended, he should be cleared to face his former club Manchester United in a double header.

German international Can however could not keep his frustration under wraps, and reportedly said: “It was not a red. We are not women, we play football,” to DAZN after the game.

The former Leverkusen midfielder ended months of speculation last month when it was confirmed he had joined the reigning Serie A champions on a four-year deal – and he apologised for his comments via Twitter.

I just won £75 on a scratch card

I started my first ever no-deposit casino sign up this afternoon with a website called 777. Forgot about it and picked it back up again a couple of hours ago.

77 free spins, winnings capped at £20 which then has to be turned over 25 times. Just completed the wagering requirements now and walked away with £117 of free money.

My kids are away this weekend so it looks like I’ll be using the quiet time to do more of these offers.

We’re tired, say Tottenham players
Matt Hughes, Deputy Football Correspondent

Spurs lost 2-1 away at Inter in the Champions League on Tuesday

Several Tottenham Hotspur players claim that the team’s slump is down to exhaustion and mental fatigue and believe they should be given more days off.

Tottenham suffered a third successive defeat for the first time under Mauricio Pochettino when they lost 2-1 away at Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday but the players were made to sleep at the training ground afterwards.

They stayed at the new Lodge hotel at the club’s Enfield base for the first time after returning from Milan at midnight, before training yesterday in preparation for Saturday’s Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion. The players have no issue with spending the night at the Lodge, which was built in the summer and used for rest periods between double training sessions during pre-season, but it has added to the feeling of some in the dressing room that they are being worked too hard, particularly given that many of them were heavily involved at the World Cup.

The impact of Pochettino’s training regime has been exacerbated by the after-effects of the tournament in Russia, which included 12 Tottenham players — third only to Manchester City and Chelsea in terms of Premier League representation — eight of whom reached the semi-finals.

Tottenham insist that the manager’s training schedule has not changed during his four years at the club, although that is part of some of the players’ grievance as complaints about a lack of time off are longstanding.
