Not a popular opinion but I miss the days of the 1st division having the likes of Leeds, Forest or even Villa in it. I look at the fixture list now when we're not on and much of it's really dire, Bournemouth vs Watford etc. Just far too many shitty little clubs pumped up by TV money who will never have the gravitas or appeal to ever really be competitive usually beyond a season or two let alone being a big enough draw to be interesting to the neutral.

 

We've ended up with such a gulf between the top six and the rest who are basically relegation fodder.
