No takers? Bastards!

Just been discussing this with my Dad. Reckons he needs more time, but his provisional eleven is:

Banks

Caldow

John Charles

Moore

Roger Byrne

Best

Haynes

Edwards

Finney

Dalglish

Greaves

I've put Jinky in over Best because of what he did at Di Stefanos testimonial.

The Celtic hero of the Falls Johnstone over the hero of the Shankill Best, definitely not a factor

If we are including southern irish players then irwin, mcgrath, lawrenson, keane, brady and giles would be all worthy of being contenders in an 11. Bale, Southall, John Charles and Rushy would be very strong contenders from wales. Best names himself from northern ireland and my dad would have spoken about blanchflower being one of the best he ever saw. Jennings was phenomenal as well and may shade it over banks and southall.

The scots had so many great players down the years, more than half the team could be from there alone.

I'd go with a Scottish spine in Hansen, Souness and Kenny definitely though before i build the rest of the team with possibly jennings in goal and best definitely in the team.
