Welcome to the new and improved TLW!

Some of you may experience issues logging in and will get an 'incorrect password' error. Don't worry, you haven't typed it in wrong and your password hasn't been changed. You will need to reset it though in order to log in. Click the reset password link and you will receive an email with your new temporary password. Once logged in, you need to choose a new password (or restore to your old one) otherwise you will be locked out again.

If you have an out of date email address linked to your account, then you won't receive the new password. If that's the case then you'll need to email me (dave @liverpoolway.co.uk) or send me a tweet @theliverpoolway and I'll update your password manually.

Any other problems or questions just let me know.

Thanks

Dave

Inspired by The Cribs thread, one of the most underrated bands of recent years in my humble opinion.

Dual vocals, insanely melodic and a wealth of great albums and tunes.

A few of my favourites and no doubt a few link fails too.

Great studio and live band.

Saw them live twice and they were ace.

Hope they get their shit together, patch things up and reform but it looks unlikely.

Funnily enough, I gave them a nudge on twitter to get the band back together the other day. Here’s hoping.

I’ve seen them a few times too, I think the last time was at Brixton a few years back. Such a great band live.

One of the best bands I've seen at Glastonbury, headlining the other stage about 10 years ago now. Would love to see them again but last time I checked they aren't touring.

Such an underrated band. Can't wait to try but summarily fail to get tickets for the Albert Hall gig.

I think they’ll go fast too. Me and my mate will both have a go Friday when they go on sale.

Saw these live about 18 years ago and had their first album. Not my cup of tea. I can barely understand a word the mumbling cunts sing.

Just been announced on Radio X they are supporting Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds at Heaton Park in the summer.

Really like Doves, seen them live a few times.  Can’t ever think of them without a note of comic disdain now though, since they did a sunset spot at Glastonbury in around 2005.

The crowd gave a fairly lukewarm reaction throughout and Williams kept trying to engage everyone to pure haybales,

badly exposing a lack of presence or charisma.

The abject silence when he first tried to inspire and then be funny was wretched and seemed to knock him off his stride.  He just left a massive pause then awkwardly gave up and went into Snowden.

It’s a you had to be there thing, if I’m honest.

Nice one. Hopefully a sign that more is to come.

Let me get this right. You bought the first album, didn't like it and went to see them play live?

Or did you see them play live, didn't like it and then bought the first album?

Or did you buy the first album and go to see them live and not like either of them at the same time?

I have to know before I decide to rep or neg...

Went to see them but was pissed and couldn’t remember the gig. Bought the album and realised I wasn’t keen.
