Fekir Alternatives

I think Klopp should consider signing a forward who isn’t going tot the World Cup.

At this rate he’s got Firmino, Mane and Salah all there, and we were chasing Fekir who’s there, and the other rumour of Dembele, who’s there, and now Shaqiri, who’s there.

Which is great, all top players. But I wouldn’t mind someone else left at Melwiod to start pre-season and train with Keita/Fabinho/Van Dijk/etc so we’re not risking the WC players coming back jaded, or slow to start the season.

Sessegnon would be great, can give him a bit of practice playing with Solanke and er...Ojo? You start to see my point.

Malcolm, Pulisic, Richarlison, I’m open to any of them.

Was looking at the likely constitution of our first team a few days ago. We can field a really solid non-World Cup first 1-8 (Karius excepted) that includes Fabinho and Keita, all with a full Klopp pre-season under their belts. Good opportunity for Matip and Clyne too.

While it shouldn’t be a deal-breaker, an attacker not at the World Cup would be a nice addition if we want to stake a claim in any title race.

We should be going nowhere near Richarlison. Even if he cost 5m. I don’t know why everyone is up his arse. He’s so erratic and loose with the ball and he doesn’t score or create enough goals to warrant giving the ball away as often as he does. He scored a few goals really early on in the season and even in those games he looked poor, missing some easy chances. I honestly don’t know how he got so many games for Watford by the end of the season because he looked dreadful.

The World Cup is not a great place to judge potential PL players. Probably why Jurgen wanted more signings before it started. Beware of the ghosts of Salif Diao and El Hadj Diouf.

To be fair we did sign them before the tournament, which I don't know if that makes it worserer or betterer

I think you’ve got your forums mixed up. Surely this post was meant for The Celtic Way?

Surely Steven Gerrard would lap up a bit of Will Hughes. In a non-sexual, purely football way of course.

What is Peter Crouch doing at the moment? Other than the robot and Abbey Clancy? Or both at the same time?
