do we actually know he tested positive with the swiss? i know they announced it and the bbc say "he's on international duty", but the only quote i saw just said the swiss fa saying he has tested positive, which could just be to explain his absence from the squad.

“In consultation with the health authorities, he is in isolation,” said the Swiss FA. Clarifications are currently underway with the local health authorities about how to proceed.

That sounds like they picked it up and he's in Switzerland.

Pull all our players from Internationals now. Self isolate.

Yeah, I don't see why this hasn't happened. We could be sending more players abroad that will find out they have it there, like with what happened with Shaqiri. Just seems irresponsible by all parties.

could be anywhere that though - health authorities here could have put him in isolation.

Could end up with loads of players from many clubs stuck all over the world here....as positive tests over next week will mean depending on local quarantine rules players have to stay where are

They really should be jibbing internationals for time being.

2 week lockdown for all clubs. Then tough shit, forfeit games.

Gonna be interesting to see what constitutes 'tough, get on with it' and what gets postponed as inevitably cases of players testing positive/going into quarantine rise during this break.

Kilmarnock had their game against Motherwell postponed after the whole team were told to self isolate, yet Leyton orient had to forfeit v Tottenham for the same thing. Presumably league games can be rescheduled but the schedule for cup games is too tight? And how many players do you need to be missing before the league step in?

Anyone know in the case of clubs having a number of players stuck somewhere in world in quarantine come next weekend if there is some sort of rule in place about when a fixture would be called off?

Players are exempt from travel restrictions and quarantine. So unless the countries dont release them, the scenario wont happen.

Klopps a super spreader, those hugs!

International friendlies with no fans too is a dumbshit idea and FA's across the world should be fucking ashamed of themselves. Its risk for no reason.

Post reported for questioning the importance of the Nations’ League.

isn't it 4 tests and you play and 5 and you don't?

There is a reason though.
