Is Chelsea’s bubble about to burst?

20.05 billion. There’s no need to over estimate his worth.

I’ve heard he’s friends with Moshiri and is ready to step in as Everton’s imaginary puppet master, should Usmanov have any visa issues.

I didn't take into account our pay rise, that's where the 0.95 billion has gone.

Announced a shirt sleeve sponsorship with Hyundai today.

Story is it is worth 40m over 4 years.

Ours with Western Union is 25m over 5...how the fuck can they beat us like that?

Abramovich is probably buying £100m worth of cars from them through some other company he’s set up in some random country. All the figures going through City and Chelsea are nonsense. Don’t believe a word of them.

Wigan Athletic have won a major trophy more recently than us.

We really need to win something and soon - all the 'progress' and 'feel good factor' etc is all well and good but ultimately winning things is what really matters.

Thats what boggles my mind the fact they sell more shirts they are an utter no mark dogshit of a club. No saving graces beyond being owned by an oligarch who bought them relevance.

It helps that their kit isn't made by new balance.

Has to be the reason - no way is their global fan base and especially the elemwnt who would buy shirts is bigger than ours.

You been in sports shops in any other country recently?

They only stock the main brands Adidas, Nike and Puma.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Liverpool shirt in a shop outside of England.

Don't tell me it's because of our demise, you see plenty of AC Milan, Inter, Ajax and Spurs tops who haven't won't anything for years.

I haven't.

I suppose it all boils down to what the club gets on the overall deal as well though...I am not all that clued up on these deals but don't Adidas et al structure deals in a manner where clubs get less per shirt or something...?

I think Adidas pay the Mancs a set fee but it is also dependent on their success. There was a clause that they had to qualify for the Champions League and then it went down the one year they were out of it.

From what I remember our deal gives us the freedom to make as much as possible from our sales but I've never seen any figures to demonstrate whether this makes us more than the others.

Major brand=more sales

Lesser known brand=more flexibility with sales.

I'd say option one is better unless the finances are obviously significantly better. Our adidas kits were boss too.

Just walk around in Thailand, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea... You see shit loads of Chelsea adverts, United, and subsequently lots of their clobber on the locals. Not many Liverpool ones.

Maybe its more about image rights? A bigger share for our players to make up for not paying City,Utd or Chelski wages?

I'd imagine that our deal isn't all inclusive like that. We haven't any big established international superstars. We've usually got one big name and a solid supporting cast.

That and the two have massive commercial pushing. They're marketing themselves for everything. You'll see them attached to local booze, cars, shops, etc. They're legitimately fucking everywhere
