As good as he obviously is,he cannot cover those three positions at the same time without becoming the size of a T Rex overnight.

A thinking experiment, if he grows that much, will he have Pickfordesque short arms ?. If so then it's a no from me.

not a player who'll disappear for weeks on end with the old 'if you can't see what he does you don't understand football' bollocks trotted out by the self-appointed intelligentsia

gets involved and stays involved throughout matches

multi-talented and a genuine utility man who should be on the team-sheet now for all big matches

To be fair, I get that response quite a lot when discussing the merit of Bobby to lead our line, yet one thing you can’t accuse him of is to go missing.

Great stuff again, brilliant that he can slot in at CB when needed without a massive drop in quality (or maybe an improvement on Lovren). We'll probably see him at RB too once we have Matip or Gomez again.

Interesting that he went onto the left side of the CB pairing and Virgil moved over to the right, not sure whether that was done for Fabinho's benefit or Trent's. Kudos to Virgil anyway for still being a beast in a slightly different position too.

Can see this chap being at the club for a long time, has all the attributes we've been crying out for for years, and his Mrs is game as fuck.

He played right centre back today.

Couldn't belive MOTD singled him out for praise this evening. For me he was almost certainly our weakest player against Brighton. He seemed nervous and spent almost the entire game passing it to VVD five metres away. The other two successful pass completions were to Gini who was three metres away.

I was waiting for two things in that match: Fabinho making a royal cock-up to concede a goal for the draw; or Friend stiffing us again (again again). Speaking to a few of their supporters after the game, they reckon the only team Friend hates more than Liverpool is them!

They singled him out because he's not a CB yet was part of a defense that easily shut down a side that always scores goals at home. He was targeted by Brighton all game and he didn't give them much.
