#LFC's recent work in the transfer market - Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Naby Keita - has seen other clubs closely take note (evidenced by Barcelona trying to hijack a deal for the latter) and so the quiet policy with Fabinho and others is by design

It's not always possible to keep news quiet - so many involved - and is incredibly tricky given the persistent thirst for transfer stories. #LFC have done exceptionally well to get the Fabinho deal over the line - and in silence until shortly before their official announcement.

Guess it's unsurprising there will be some sucking of own dicks and claims like this were to be expected. To be fair though, credit where credit's due, and it's unlikely to have been achieved unless there was a conscious decision to clean up our act in this regard.

Add to that the selling clubs usually act like dickheads by leaking about our interest to try and get an auction going and squeeze an extra few million out of us.

Rare that something like this happens, good though and it'll also stop me stressing my nut through lack of activity/rumours in the transfer window, knowing we're working hard to keep things quiet.

Can't believe Melissa Reddy said we were sucking our own dicks.

As if Melissa Reddy would ever say that.

I think he'll be good in helping us stop the type of goals we conceded against United away too.

Very good aerial duels won stats, apparently. He can stay on the striker trying to win the flick on, meaning a centre back won't have to come out of the back four to challenge, so cuts down on the chance of that gap opening up between RCB and RB, were TAA has been exposed a few times.
