Real Madrid - The European Cup final

Recommended Posts

So the day has finally arrived. Fingers crossed, our boys will be able to bring their best game tonight. If they do, it could be a very memorable night.

As for Real Madrid I hope they decide to go out and press us hard to show who's boss. Unfortunately, I don't think Zidane will go down the Guardiola route but we'll see soon enough.

Can't wait for it to kick off now!

They should be considered prohibitive favourites who will almost certainly win, most likely comfortably. Still, it’s been a good run.

Thinking like this won't make it hurt any less if we lose. We're in the final for fucks sake, have some faith.

On my dog - got the poor girl as a rescue a few days before the 2007 semi-final. Couldn’t find her half an hour after Dirk’s winning penalty, she was cowering behind the couch. She’s more relaxed about my screaming and shouting these days.

This is all getting very real now.

And, it's a wonderful feeling. And a horrible feeling at the same time.

It's a bit mad how something that you have no input into, no control over, can make you feel on edge, so nervous, nauseous but excited.

I think I'm going for the que sera sera attitude from here on in.

I want us to win. So much. And, I believe that we can.

But, whatever happens, I'll be happy if we go out onto that pitch and give our all. No holding back. No regretful what ifs.

What will be will be. If Madrid win, make them win with one hell of a fight. Run faster than them. Run further than them. Tackle with more commitment than them. And, fight harder than them.

I'm signing off for the night now (probably). See you all on the other side.

Let's fucking do this. And believe that we can.

C'MON REDMEN!!!!!
