Very early days but this world cup has been shite so far.

Spain vs Portugal was boss. The games against the big teams will be entertaining. The little nations with less chance are killing games.

Only watched the Spain-Portugal and Australia-France games in full so far. I wouldn't willingly watch Chelsea vs Midlands FC so most of the group games are uninteresting, even if there's a chance of an upset. Highlights are perfect though.

VAR seems to have stopped 0-0 being a possibility. I'm all for it and hope it gets introduced into mainstream football sooner rather than later. It would make the jobs of Pulis, Pardew, Allardyce et al so much harder which can only be a good thing for the game.

I reckon the reason there's been so many set piece goals is because of VAR, players know they're being watched so are less likely to be pushing and pulling in the box incase they concede a penalty. Usually they'd get away with it but they can't now, unless it's a foul on slingblade apparently.

 

So you're probably right, it will fuck up the tactics of those cunts, which can only be a good thing.
