Alex Scott is doing my head in a bit, sounds too much like a kids TV presenter.

Saying too much too quickly, a bit giddy.

Maybe she's trying too hard to nail down a permanent punditry gig after the world cup finishes.

Maybe I'm just used to years of dull, slow, inane, drones from Alan shearer Glenn Hoddle and Danny Murphy so I'm finding it a bit hard to keep up with somebody showing even the slightest bit of enthusiasm for the job.

I'd deffo let her kick my balls around for 90 minutes anyway.

She’s already been doing some punditry for Sky this season

The referee in the Egypt game is unbelievable. He awards two penalties to Saudi Arabia and the replays clearly (IMO) show neither were penalties. Is he being paid by the Saudi's to give their useless team one goal in this tournament? Pretty farcical.

Premiership standard.

Also stopped the ball on a threatening Egyptian attack when it came at him very slowly and instead of stepping over it he blocked it into the path of the Saudi player.

The worst part is that it worked - they've won the game.

Dodgy ref decisions aside, Egypt are very poor. Saudi Arabia dominated them in the 2nd half. Rubbish teams that possess one absolute world class player like Egypt and Argentina need to copy Portugal. Just setup defensively, frustrate the opponents and just try to fashion the odd chance for the star to score. Works well with Portugal and the way they use Ronaldo.

Any running stats from Russia?

Wouldn’t surprise me to see them purposefully run less today to make the doping accusation seem less credible.

They are definitely doping. The running stats are well out of normal range. They’ll hide behind the ‘no positive results’ thing because we all know that they are capable of engineering a way to beat the tests, so it means nothing.
