There were some great scenes yesterday, both in good and bad ways.

 

We were in the Steeplechase Stand, I was shocked by how poorly organised it was.

 

None of the bars took card, all cash. There was only 1 ATM, which I have to spend 20+ mins in a queue to get some money out.

 

The queues at the bar were ridiculous, although they got better through the day. I queued 30+ mins at one point. The board with drinks on in couldn’t have been in a smaller font. I’ve got eyes like a sewer rat & I couldn’t read it until I got to the front. There was no way you could have a bet and get a pint in between each race.

 

Luckily, I put all my bets on during the coach journey over. I went e/w on everything yesterday, got 1st & 4th in the 1st, 1st in the 2nd and then Anibale Fly in the GN. Ended up being £20 down overall.
