Love Vermeer.  This one, in Dublin, is the only one I've ever seen in the flesh.  

Was surprised by its compact size.

Made it all the more intricate and fascinating.

Took the wife to this in York today.
 

She’s the real art lover in the family but I’m learning to appreciate it. 

 

Didn't have huge expectations as it was a Groupon thing, but it was absolutely fantastic. I found myself completely immersed (which I guess is the point). 

 

If it’s within reach, I’d highly recommended.

 

Video really doesn’t do it justice..

 

Second photo is just one of the river in York. Not thread related but beautiful nonetheless.
