Booze or no, he leaves behind loved ones and fans who loved him.

 

I remember him fondly as a player in a cool team from London in the late 70s, when I was growing up supporting the best team in the world.

 

61, ridiculously young in this day and age.

 

Sad. Bit tragic.

Who doesn't have demons. No matter his problems he left behind loved ones and it's terribly sad for them. 

 

I never really rated him as a pundit and thought he was a twat, but my uncle ended up working on his house a few times and always spoke very highly of him. He'd always make them a cup of tea in the morning and have a chat and a laugh. 

 

Said Hoddle was the exact opposite and a complete prick.
