Champions league omens!

We've known about the one where when we win in Portugal, twice, we've won big ears.

Now this!

The last time Liverpool lost 2-1 at Old Trafford in the league where the same player scored both of United goals and a United player scored an own goal, Liverpool went on to win the Champions League!

Happened in Sept 04. Silvestre x 2, O'Shea own goal!

Any more?

The Pope dies and we win Big Ears. Well, the Pope hasn't died but a fella who looks like him has (Jim Bowen).

Prince Charles gets married and we win Big Ears. Well it's not Charles this time, but his son (or is it?) Harry who is getting married this year.

There could be another one on Friday.

On each of the past 5 occasions that we won it, the horse that won the Cheltenham Gold Cup that year had 4 legs.

If the winner on Friday has 4 legs, then anything could happen!

Fuck it. If that happens, it's on!

A sad day. (for Jim Bowen)

We've won our odd numbered European Cups in odd numbered years (1977, 1981, 2005), and our even numbered European Cups in even numbered years (1978, 1984).

So we won't win it this year then?

Hold on, yes we will.
