The original news I heard from a friend said it was a flat above a Polish booze shop.  And I knew a few Poles who used to brew their own paint stripping rocket fuel, and shit used to go wrong.  The rest of it is just my sense of humour.  And that's before I knew people had died.

Three men have been charged with manslaughter and arson over an explosion in Leicester that left five people dead, say police.

 

Three members of the same family died when the shop and flat were destroyed last Sunday.

 

Five people were also taken to hospital after the blast, one of whom suffered critical injuries.

 

Aram Kurd, of Leicester, Hawkar Hassan, of Coventry, and Arkan Ali, of Oldham, are due in court on Monday.

That Aram Kurd was on Central News the day after with some, now obviously, cock and bull story of how he escaped the blast because he was in the storeroom at the back of the store.
